Did you know that only a 1/4 cup of lemon juice contains close to 40% of your RDI (recommended daily intake) of vitamin C, whilst also providing folate and potassium?
Vitamin C is essential for the stimulation of both production and function of white blood cells (the powerhouse of your overall immunity!), whilst also aiding your body to create antibodies against any harmful pathogens, viruses and bacteria that you may encounter?
If your immunity is not as strong as you’d like it to be at this time of the year, now’s the time to get in touch and get your immune health armed and ready for winter, to work with us simply click here.
Here’s the super delish and moreish recipe for my famous Super Quick Lemon Bliss Balls that may or may not be making an appearance in the upcoming eBook or foodie classes (soon to appear!) If you’ve been into my clinic recently, you’ve most likely been spoilt with these insanely delicious bad boys, so you’re most welcome
All you’ll need is:
1 & ½ cups of almond meal,
1 cup of desiccated coconut,
Juice of half a lemon,
Zest of one lemon,
2 tbsp maple syrup, or sweetener of choice,
Pinch of salt,
¼ cup of desiccated coconut to roll in.
Instructions:
Add all ingredients (except the ¼ cup of desiccated coconut for rolling) into a high-powered blender and blend well. You may need to pause the blender and scrape down the sides to make sure all is combined well. Roll into balls, I suggest teaspoon sized balls for children or tablespoon sized balls for adults, and roll in the desiccated coconut and place in the fridge to set for an hour. Enjoy!
